    The Incredibles Director Brad Bird is in final negotiations with Paramount Pictures to helm Mission Impossible 4. Tom Cruise is also set to return (well it wouldn’t be much of a Mission Impossible film without the Cruister!) and the plan is to release the film in May of next year, so expect production to start pretty soon.

  • Geek board game goes Hollywood – ready for Battleship movie?

    Following hot on the heels of the news that family favourite Monopoly is to be immortalised in movie form, we can report that Taylor Kitsch has been recruited to star in the film version of the Hasbro board game Battleship. Universal are the ones responsible for the the Battleship movie (as it is referred to in the bestforfilm towers), with Peter Berg manning the directorial helm.

  • A Team The Movie – new trailer released!

    Attention fans of the cult 80s series – a new trailer has been released for one of this summer’s most anticipated movies. The 20th Century Fox produced affair, eponymously entitled The A-Team, sees a quartet of Iraq War vets trying to clear their name with the U.S. military for a crime they did not commit.


  • Harrison Ford in Cowboys and Aliens

    Ye-Ha! Legendary Hollywood superstar Harrison Ford and director Jon Favreau (him who’s directing the Iron Man 2 movie coming out later this year) are teaming up to make Cowboys and Aliens, an adaptation of a graphic novel by comic book writer Scott Mitchell Rosenberg.


  • Johnny English Part 2 – Resumption of Rowan Atkinson hell?

    In news that is set to send shudders through the spines of cinema-goers everywhere, Universal have confirmed that they are preparing the sequel to 2003’s Johnny English, tentatively titled Johnny English 2. Starring Rowan Atkinson, Johnny English 2 will see the resumption of the adventures of Britain’s least favourite spy hero, as Universal attempt to steer away from adult-skewing serious movies in favour of light-hearted comedy.


  • Dynasty star Christopher Cazenove dies

    The actor Christopher Cazenove, best loved for his work in the 1980s American soap Dynasty, has died after a battle with sceptecaemia. He contracted the disease in February and since then had been fighting it in St Thomas’s hosptial in London. His agent released a statement on behalf of his family and girlfriend stating that he “died peacefully surrounded by his loved ones”. He was 66 years old.


  • Clash of the Titans

    Clash of the Titans is a remake of the 1981 classic of the same name, and tells the tale of the legendary Greek hero Perseus. Perseus (Sam Worthington) is the son of Zeus, but he’s been living the life of a fisherman down on Earth, unaware of his divine heritage. Perseus’ adopted family are killed by the evil god Hades and he vows revenge. Hades tells the King of Argos that unless he sacrifices his daughter Andromache to the gods, the Kraken will destroy the city, so Perseus and a rag-tag bunch of misfits set off on a quest to find three legendary witches who can tell them how to defeat the monster.
