  • Top 10 Films With Good Soundtracks

We’ve all had that moment when we’re watching a good film, and all of a sudden a song starts playing that you’ve never heard before, but almost immediately it’s become your favourite song of the moment, and you can’t stop whistling it on your way home. A good soundtrack can be the buttery icing on an already deliciously cakey film, and here’s our handy Top 10, just for you.

  • Country Strong

A quietly confident introduction and the fun of multi-task-actors makes you hope that Country Strong will do for Gwyneth Paltrow what Crazy Heart did for Jeff Bridges. The magic of cinema, eh? To be fair, Jeff’s great performance means he can get away with just about anything, in a film that is just about saved from by schmaltzy.

  • Deja vu at the SAG Awards

Last night saw the envelopes opened at the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild, and many of the winners have probably only just shaken off the hangover from winning at last week’s Golden Globes. With Tinseltown trends running strong as ever, it’s likely a few of the same names will be picking up more mantelpiece bling at the Academy Awards in March.
