Paul WS Anderson is definitely directing Resident Evil 6. Which means Resident Evil 6 is definitely happening.
This is what happens when people keep writing young adult novels.
A character who happens to be called Sherlock Holmes, a character who happens to be called Dr Watson and a man who happens to be allowed to direct films have once again stumbled together in a sequel to the least faithful adaptation of all time. Still, it’s not as bad as the last one. Quite.
He’ll be cast opposite EVERY GOOD ACTOR.
“Elementary, my dear Watson!” – probably all of you right now. NO! Sherlock Holmes never said that. Let it go, people.
Nothing groundbreaking or awe-inspiring to be seen here, but John Carpenter being just okay is still better than no John Carpenter at all. Flimsy plot and performances, but what you’re forking over for is the shocks, and he still delivers better than most. Will leave you thinking, “Come on, John… let’s next time get our hands REALLY dirty.”
Crimety, the Sherlock Holmes 2 news just keeps on coming. Yesterday we leant (with great learning joy) that Stephen Fry was to take the role of Holmes’s brother Mycroft in the Guy Richie sequel. Today, we have a Moriarty. Mad Men’s Jared Harris has bagged the role of the Sherlock’s arch-nemesis, apparently plucking the part away from the likes of Brad Pitt and Gary Oldman.
