Our least regular feature is back! This week’s Favourite Flicks author is Nina, whose whimsical aesthetic makes her choice of film laughably unsurprising. If you love Wes Anderson’s classic The Royal Tenenbaums, then you’re amongst friends here – if you’re not, prepare to be converted by a gentle barrage of Gene Hackman, Bill Murray and the whole damn Tenenbaum dynasty.
In the 80s a new flavour of action flick ran rampant through our cinemas. By the 90s the movement had lost its gusto: storylines were beyond belief, action bordered on the generic and the bad guys came out as cardboard copies. We’d been there, done that and no longer found the thrill in a good ass-kicking, the cheer in a villain’s gruesome death, the humour in snappy one-liners. Until now…
We’ve got the entire list right here

Spring finally seems to be here for good, so as you prepare that first celebratory vat of Pimm’s don’t forget to hold back a few oranges and lemons for this week’s film rundown. Will you be tempted by Ryan Gosling in a forest, or does Charlie Sheen boffing Lindsay Lohan sound more like your cup of tea? If it does, probably sterilise the cup before you let anyone else drink from it. Pervert.
