It’s Friday, Friday, you’ve gotta get down on Friday. You’ve also got to take part in our drinking game. The Look of Love is out today, so we could have done something porn-related to satiate you horny individuals, but we went for biopics so there. While you’re reading, and if you’re not completely caned by the end, have a think about who you’d like to play you in a biopic and let us know below. We’re opting for Pan’s People. They’d be a great BFF, don’t you think?
Highly-respected thespian Daniel Day-Lewis is famously known for his extreme method acting, but if you think you’ve got him all figured out, think again. What with Lincoln hitting cinemas this Friday, we thought we’d give the multi-Oscar-nominated actor his very own Cheat Sheet that he can hang up on his wall if he ever finds space amidst all those shiny awards. Turns out, he’s one of the most interesting human beings, literally, ever.
Steven Spielberg’s foray into the well-trodden political battlefield of the Civil War and President Lincoln’s fight to pass a bill against slavery is a predictable candidate for the Oscars, but nonetheless has many exceptional performances to applaud. Daniel Day-Lewis in particular, proves himself to be an excellent President, and makes this worthy (if turgid) drama stand out from the crowd.
Because duh it’s obviously going to OWN 2013.
