With the building anticipation of Django Unchained, Best For Film was invited down to the unparallelled Prince Charles Cinema just off Leicester Square in London to enjoy every single Quentin Tarantino directed film back-to-back. Although the prospect of a 15 hour cinema session might seem as bad as what Zed does to Ving Rhames, it’s all in a day’s work for us here at the Best For Film World Headquarters. It is a truth universally acknowledged that a horror movie with a domestic gross amounting to a small fortune must be in line for a string of sequels of ever-diminishing quality. Almost all of them are terrible, being licenses to print money and all. But every now and then, by some strange alchemy, one of them.. isn’t. Here are five of our favorites, and one that we’re clearly over thinking.

London’s seventh annual Korean Film Festival is in full swing! Running until November 11th, it’s a rare showcase of popular Korean filmmaking, offering an insight into a culture as in love with pop music, fashion and Hollywood as our own. Bringing over the cream of a remarkably strong national cinema, the KFF continues to expose audiences to a fascinating dichotomy of the alien and familiar, as all the tried and true tropes of genre cinema are played out in a foreign language.

It’s been a big ole week for film news, thanks to Disney’s decision to unburden George Lucas from the rights to Star Wars. The House of Mouse rocked the film world with its $4.2billion buy-out of Lucasfilm, promising that three new Star Wars films would be on the way, with the first one already in production and due some time in 2015. While there’s every possibility that the new films will be every bit as awful as the prequel trilogy, we’re trying to be optimistic about things. In the meantime, why not grab a drink and revisit the original trilogy with us in our Star Wars drinking game!
