Alan Cumming won’t be back for X-Men: Days of Future Past. FFS.
X-Men Days of Future Past will continue to focus on that pesky Magneto and his feelings.
Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence AND Omar Sy? Sound the awards klaxon!
With the Oscars almost upon us once again, we at Best For Film thought that we might profit from a review of some of the highlights said gushing award ceremony has provided us with over the years. For the sake of variety, this laudable list shall include both the famous and the infamous, the highs and the lows, the sugar and the bitters. Such a cocktail should be swirled in the mouth like the metaphorical marbles of Sir Laurence Olivier’s plumy tones, or alternatively expelled in disgust like a Michael Moore acceptance speech. The choice, our BFF Academy, is yours.
Imagine Tyrion Lannister with SUPERPOWERS.
Movie 43 may already be the most derided film of all time, and it’s only been in the cinema for less than a week. It’s an ‘anthology film’ of thirteen or more (depending on how you count) short, non-related comedy sketches directed by various different people. We decided to check it out and reflect on what, if anything, it could all mean.
Ensemble comedy Movie 43, which has been branded the “worst film ever” is climbing the box office charts.
Few actors in Hollywood are hotter than Hugh Jackman is at the moment. He first scorched us back in 2009 when he fronted the Academy Awards, a performance that included one of the most spectacular opening numbers in Oscar history. With his much lauded performance in Les Misérables currently in the cinemas, and Jackman having just bagged a Golden Globe, we’ve prepared a cheat sheet with everything you wanted to know about Hollywood’s leading man.
Best For Film has finally Dreamed a Dream of Tom Hooper’s Oscar-baiting epic Les Misérables – and we loved it so much that we’ve decided to never ever see it again. Ever. From the tears and the music to the inexplicable facial hair and surplus of hats, this sprawling superfilm is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
