Extra! Extra! Hollywood continues to be full of beautiful men doing things!
God forbid RDJ should ever decide Iron Man isn’t for him any more, but in case he does it’s worth looking at his potential replacements. How about a retired Tony Stark? What about a stand-up comic Tony Stark? Would you say no to a FEMALE Tony Stark? We’ve done some casting so Marvel don’t have to.
It might make a pretty nifty door poster. Or perhaps not.
Gangster Squad is based on the true tale of a group of LAPD officers and detectives in the late 1940s who used, shall we say, extra-judicial methods to smash the operations that allowed gangster Micky Cohen to control the underworld of the US west coast. The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer, who has mainly worked in the worlds of advertising and music-video production, but has two previous films (Zombieland and 30 Minutes or Less) to his credit. An ensemble cast including Josh Brolin, Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Nick Nolte and Emma Stone play out a plot we get the feeling we have already seen before.
Josh Brolin will play Dwight in the Sin City sequel, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For.
Ten years on from Men in Black II and an astonishing 15 years after the original film (are we all really that old?), Agents K. J and, err, K again are back onscreen for a third and possibly last outing. It may be a poor imitation of the genre-defining original, but fans will find plenty to enjoy in this inoffensive threequel.
Ah, Friday. It’s the end of a long week and we bet you haven’t even seen any aliens, you poor sad shmuck – well, not any that you’d remember anyway. Suspicious? WE THINK SO! Time to brush up on the alien know-how, not to mention celebrate the release of Men In Black 3, with our very own memory deletion device – alcohol.
