Apparently she’s swapping Fantine for Eliza Doolittle in a wild bid for more Oscars…
I have a headache. From the outset, Broken City had all the markings of a truly classic thriller: a stellar, academy-award recognized cast, a trailer that made it look gritty and intense and a premise that should have meant at least a few seat gripping moments and sharply veering twists. High hopes that amounted to a whole lot of nothing. Let the ranting begin…
Alan Cumming won’t be back for X-Men: Days of Future Past. FFS.
Sly tweets his thoughts.
Ben Affleck accused of anti-Iranian propoganda.
The quiffed detective and his faithful dog Snowy are set to return to the big screen in 2015, but Spielberg will be taking a back seat.
Jason Statham is quickly gaining a cult status amongst action aficionados. With his tough-guy looks and skilfully killer moves, there’s something here to please the gals as well as the guys. With his latest flick Parker hitting cinemas this week we thought it only right you be fully prepared for every ensuing eventuality and therefore humbly present this week’s cheat sheet.
Parker isn’t entertainingly bad like Crank or The Transporter 1 through 3. It’s just bad. Bad acting, bad plot, bad villains, bad heroes, and a bad-ass car.
Jason Statham is made of rage and speaks like he’s reading the instruction manual for setting up a Freeview box. Naturally neither of these things elevate Parker to the lofty heights of, say, The Mechanic; and make for the most mind-numbing 118 minutes of your life that you will never get back.
The trailer for World War Z, due to be released in June, reveals an Aliens/Hardboiled twist on the classic zombie genre. Brad Pitt’s not just a lone hero fighting off swarms of the undead, he’s a family man, he’s got kids to feed and prevent being fed on. There’s sirens and explosions and screaming and running and zombies and all the while Brad’s doing his marital duties and taking care of the wife and kids. Touching, yes? We think so. So we thought we’d compile a list of the top ten touching zombie moments.
Things to look forward to in the coming year.
